The Electric Picnic line-up
Finally a decent festival line-up for Ireland has been announced. This year’s Electric Picnic happening in September in Stradbally, Co. Laois boasts an amazing line-up. I’m totally over-excited at the thoughts of Nick Cave, Kraftwerk, The Flaming Lips, Mr. Scruff and - gasp - The Human League all on the same bill (imagine seeing ‘Fascination’ live!).
There’s a comedy stage, an 800 capacity cinema and the intriguing prospect of a silent disco…
Fair play to the organisers - I’m hugely impressed. More acts will be added to the bill so check out the site over the coming months.
If you go for one thing - go for Kraftwerk. Saw them last year and I think it may just be the best gig I’ve ever been to.
