Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (it’s good!)

Well I don’t want to give too much away about Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, but it’s pretty damn good. I was so disappointed by The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones was only alright. This time however, George Lucas has redeemed himself with episode three. The opening sequence is amazing, the plot is far more developed than the previous two films and it’s just much more watchable. Hayden Christianson’s performance is far better than last time and Ewan McGregor is more at ease as Obi Wan Kenobi. Loved Ian McDiarmid as the evil Emperor/Chancellor Palpatine, a resonant unforgettable baddie if ever there was one. It’s really gripping all the way through and fascinating to see what finally pushes Anakin Skywalker towards the Emperor and the Dark Side. Very enjoyable, well worth seeing and a fitting high to end the Star Wars legend on.

My only criticisms are that it’s slightly sentimental at times and you can get a little tired of CGI where surely extras would have sufficed, but they’re slight irks at best.

Top stuff that Star Wars fans will be delighted with. I also reckon it’s probably better than Return of the Jedi… (sorry lads, there’s no gold bikini action in this one)
