I've been put off by tales of appalling sound and lousy acoustics by tons of people, many of whom won't go and see ANYONE there because they reckon the sound is that bad. With me on Tuesday was an architect friend so I asked her if the sound was due to a crappy PA or the architecture and she replied immediately: "Architecture. This place wasn't made for loud gigs". Believe it or not, The La’s was my first Ambassador gig.
