Come on Feel the Illnoise (at the Village)

It’s bad enough that we have Christmas decorations up pre-Halloween, so I won’t start going on about albums of the year just yet. However, I found out today that ridiculously talented Sufjan Stevens will be playing with a full band in The Village, Dublin on Friday October 14th.

His second album, Come On Feel The Illnoise is definitely one of year’s best. It’s brilliant, original and full of wonderful tracks. I bet Joe over at Pretty Good Year will be delighted (he thinks Sufjan is “dishy” and he’s probably not wrong). Mish is a big fan of the album so she’ll also be chuffed, no doubt.

At least I’ll be in the country for it. I was a massive Mudhoney fan back in the day and I’m missing their September gig. I did, however, get to interview mainman Mark Arm who told me I should change my flights/holiday/plans and come to the gig… indeed.
