Blogger meeting: Twenty Major in “nice guy” shocker

Apologies for the recent absenteeism, its all been a bit hectic around these parts. I finished all my pre-Christmas work yesterday so decided to head in to the blogger/freelancer meet-up. Its always weird to put names to faces but I was delighted to meet Padraig and Colm from In Fact, Ah, Claire from Ginger Pixel, Dick from Back Seat Drivers, Kevin from Disillusioned Lefty, John from Earth and Universe, all hosted and chaperoned by That Girl who even had the foresight to come armed with some ‘looking for bloggers?’ signs. I will admit that Kehoes may have been a bad spot as it was so packed, but we managed to have a great night of blog gossip and general nattering.

The highlight though, was the arrival of everyones favourite c-word user, Mr. Twenty Major. Not at all what I expected and a thoroughly nice chap.

AAARGH I walked through the pub 3 times, upstairs and down, looking for the signs. I’m not giving out though, for your eyes do glaze over when you are looking at a crowd of faces afraid of being accused of staring. Also, it’s not like I made a special trip into town either, I was on my way to Vicar St to see Des Bishop. Glad to hear it went well, hope to make it next time.

I wasn’t able to go in and it sounds like a good night, but I resolve to make the next one. And damn I missed Mr Major, of course it would have been wonderful to meet the lot of ye!

Sinead, this am he claims on his blog that was his double.

If it really was, damm I should have invested in Ryanair and got a day ticket to the Strumpet City. Darn

Also looked but was driven out by the throngs and ended up eating chips with the missus in the George’s St Arcade before Christmas party number two of the evening.

Sorry to miss the mysterious Twenty, and all your good selves.

Sounds like a good night. Had plans so couldn’t pop along (btw, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is a most excellent film).
