A long way from home…

Wonder how this weary traveller ended up so far from home? Apparently one of the first people to sight it this morning (a man on a train) rang the authorities to say that he might have been hallucinating, but he had “just seen a whale in the Thames”.

    But don’t all children’s stories have a happy ending? In the book, he could get make it back to the sea with the aid of a friendly pike called George ( a bit like Donkey in Shrek) and a cunning but snooty salmon who likes opera and afternoon tea.
