Forget Cheltenham…
If like me, you’ve been mostly burned so far at Cheltenham (what’s with all these 33-1 nags having the cheek to win?), there may soon be an alternative. According to Popbitch, there’s a new pig-racing craze in Russia - and it’s getting very serious.

I seriously wonder how the swimming race works? Do they have some kind of triathlon event with swimming in an open sewer instead of the sea or something. I’m intrigued. Must be because I too have become disillusioned with this Cheltenham lark.

They used to have this in Wisconsin when I was there. The natives went mad for it!
