The ultimate comeback kids

Are Middlesbrough the ultimate comeback kids?

Three weeks ago, they were 3-0 down to Basle in the UEFA cup and managed to bash in the required four goals to win the game. In tonight’s semi-final, they were in exactly the same situation against Steaua Bucharest - and again they knocked in four goals and bagged a place in the May’s final, when they’ll play either German side Schalke or Seville.

Steve McClaren must have a rabbit’s foot, four leaf clover and horseshoe tucked under his puffy manager’s jacket.

That was unbelievable. They must be studying the Munster V Gloucester videos.

An amazing performance.. but the FA prefer Brazilians..

I saw the last twenty minutes and it was an incredible game indeed. Fair play to them.

    Dott 16 - 8 O’Sullivan

Now that would be an impressive comeback. As is/will be/would be that of Mr. Fu.

Kevin, it’s so depressing (not as depressing as watching Peter Ebdon play though). Did you notice he was crying in the last frame?

It won’t be worth watching if Ronnie’s not in it, but he has a mountain to climb at this stage.

  6. Colm Says:

Speaking of comebacks, anyone watching the final at the moment? Ebdon has just come through the longest ever frame to peg it back to 12-15. This is going to be a long night.

dreadfully boring final.frames were way too long.75 mins for 1 of them.
