“Careful, now!”

I’m back from RTE and the throat held out for our Da Vinci chat on The View. My bladder is now facing payback for all the hot drinks I’ve forced down me to keep the throat shutting down. As fate would have it, Colm has posted an updated version of the image from Father Ted (when Dougal and Ted are sent to protest at a screening of an apparently blasphemous film) and I managed to work “Down with this sort of thing” in to my thoughts tonight.

Going to the film tonight so will blog a review - throat pending - as soon as I can.

Colm did no such thing as post that image on infactah!

Do you have Mr. Bracken on the brain or something Sinead? ;)

My throat is in a bad way too… seems like theres a cold going around. Looking forward to the DaVinci code review, first impressions here, although I hate Dan Brown, is that the casting is spot on.

  3. Colm Says:

I’m afraid I can’t claim this one. Paul was responsible.

Watching the View there. Was like hmmmm I recognise her…. For some reason I know her name is Sinead Gleeson too. Hmmmm quick google… ahhh yes Sigla Blog, Irish blog Awards. lol.

    Good stuff! Well done tonight.

I thought you were great. “A tsunami of chick lit” great! Well done!

Paul - apologies, I thought Colm took credit for every good idea over at In fact, ah :)

Robin and Kaz, thanks for that, the throat held out, but is starting to throb again now.

James and anyone else who’s interested - The casting was pretty good, but Tautou seemed a little out of her depth. I just don’t it was her kind of film. It’s not a bad film, and if you liked the book, you’ll be happy enough. It omits chunks (for time reasons I suspect) of the book, changes a few things, erases the romance at the end between Sophie and Langdon, and the music is over-used in a really annoying way.

And most of all, it’s very Ron Howard.

Oh crap, blogger colds and sore throats are spreading! I’ve got one too. Sinead, might actually recognise you if I see you at a gig soon thanks to your TV appearances!

ya well done “A tsunami of chick lit” was very good. Usually I don’t like the view as there seems to be a mandotory high number of long words in very sentence. But good tonight. Finally someone realised that the success of the Da Vinci code has a lot to do with the fact that it is a “good yarn”

  9. Kevin Says:

You can’t go wrong with a Hitchen’s quote; well played, Sinéad.

He may well do, but that does not mean he comes up with or posts every good idea over at In Fact, Ah ;)

    Apologies overlord Bracken! *cowers*
