Sufjan in November

sufjan1For anyone who didn’t get to see Sufjan Stephens in the Village last year, fear not. Now you catch him in a proper venue, The Olympia, on November 1st. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning but be warned, it’ll probably sell out thanks to Ray Darcy playing Chicago from Illnoise to death of late on his morning show.

Also got very excited about getting my Daft Punk tickets. Still no word on the tempting rumour of Kraftwerk as support though…

Got my tickets for the London gig in the Barbican. It sold out in three hours (and it’s a large venue).

  2. Sinead Says:

    Crikey, that’s fast.
    How are you Mr. B?

  3. Colm Says:

Good, good. But I’m struggling with the heat over here. Us Irish are not conditioned for this type of weather. I hear Mulley met Disco Fred. He was very impressed :-)

mish sits at computer refreshing ticketmaster.ie in preparation for 9am tomorrow.

Colm, DF was just as delighted to meet blog impressario Mulley. I just saw on BBC News24 that GRITTERS are being sent out on to the London streets to stop them from melting! (”what a world, what a world”)

Mish, my bro was on the ball and got us front row seats. Really looking forward to it.

how I wish I’d seen that post last night instead of just now…

upper circle is all that’s left as of now - got mine

why are all the good gigs in Ireland on school nights? Drives me mad - have to take holidays and fork out for petrol and/or train effectively doubling the cost of the tickets. Ah well no pain, no gain!

  7. Dae Says:

Got my Sufjan and all set for Daft Punk as well. Yippity skippity - gigs galore!

  8. mish Says:

sinead, looks like its LCD soundsystem supporting the ‘Punk and not the funky komputer boys :( Got my two shiny standing sufjan tickets - yay!

  9. Sinead Says:

LCD Soundsystem would be a cool substitute if Ralf, Florian and the boys can’t make it. LCD were one of my highlights at the EP last year.

  10. Cahony Says:

LCD Soundsystem would be most excellent. I’m starting to get dizzy thinking about my next few weeks:

Last weekend of July: Mate’s stag weekend
Aug 2nd - 6th: Race week in Galway
    Aug 22nd: Mate’s wedding
    Aug 24th: Radiohead/Beck
    Aug 25th: Daft Punk/LCD SS?
    Sep 1st-3rd: Electric Picnic
Sep 8th-10th: Weekend in London to see Mogwai at the Royal Albert Hall

*takes a deep breath and hopes there’s no nights out until Sufjan*

  11. mish Says:

    make that radiohead/beck/deerhoof :D

  12. Cahony Says:

Really? RAWK! Well not quite, but errmm… GREAT!

    ;)

  13. mish Says:

indeed tis true. it’s line-ups like that that make shelling out sixty quid for a ticket not *quite* so bad, eh?
