Monday, Monday
Birthdays rock. As someone who generally forgets to take days off, being “another year older and deeper in debt” is no greater reason to bunk off for a birthday lunch with some friends. This year’s actual birthday (today) was preceeded by a Friday night out (who wants to tackle town on a Monday night?) to see the excellent Cap Pas Cap at Maximum Joy. I knew they’d be good live, but I definitely think they’re my current favourite Irish band.
So thanks for the Newbridge pen, the new cookbook, Moleskin notebook, the nice wine, impending Threadless T-shirt, Fashion Babylon, aquamarine jewellery, Dr. Hauska stuff, to Paul for the call from Japan and most of all, to himself for my snazzy (and fast!) new laptop.
If all that’s not enough, Penguin have seen fit to launch their new blog today.
Now if only the sun would come out…

Aw, sorry I missed this. Hope you had a great birthday weekend - it certainly sounds like it. And it’s great to see you posting regularly again. I’m still in dial-up HELL and won’t be posting until I get back to NY next week, but you’re an inspiration! Really.
