Learn to love Kelly
During the birthday phonecall from Paul in Japan*, we discovered our mutual love of Kelly. She’s one mouthy lass who sings about clothes, shoes and breaking up by text message and while she’s actually the brainchild of actor Liam Sullivan, I have firmly embraced her to my comedy bosom as I did Vicki Pollard.
The video for ‘Kelly Wants Some Shoes’ is priceless but the lyrics are where it’s at. ‘Let Me Borrow That Top’ is about the perils of borrowing clothes. Bizarrely, someone has even youtube’d a version of the song with Simba from The Lion King singing along.
Either way, I heart Kelly.
*The very next day this very fine t-shirt arrived all the way from just outside Tokyo.
