What’s Icelandic for ‘cover version’?

sigurrosSpeaking of cover versions, I’m not sure what to make of We Are Scientists’ version of Sigur Ros’ ‘Hopipolla’, found via You Ain’t No Picasso. Aside from all the bum notes, I can’t decide if it was a really brave or really bad idea.

Oh, and Mr. Hopkinson’s computer has added a new bonus page of computer-y vocoder warblings including tracks from Ivor Cutler and Beck.

    As much as i can appreciate the effort that goes into covering Sigur Ros, i think that’s an example of music that should not be touched by anyone. I didnt even finish it.
