John Crace: the lazy reader’s hero

rooney If, like me, you’re bewildered as to why Martin Amis’ fiction is so hit and miss, but are curious about his new book, you can save yourself a chunk of time. John Crace, who pens the excellent ‘Digested Read’ column in the Guardian has provided a 553 word synopsis of his latest, House of Meetings.

Crace has also recently tackled Roddy Doyle’s latest, Paula Spencer, Bringing Down the House by David Profumo and Robert Harris’ Imperium. If you read one though, read the Wayne Rooney one with the ghostwriter. It’s hilarious.

We’ll have to assume it went the way of Shergar, but I’d love to read it if you want to repost it? :)
