The return of Life on Mars

simmCrushes on John Simm aside, don’t forget that Series 2 of Life on Mars starts on BBC1 tonight at 9pm. Even better, episode 2 is on directly afterwards at 10pm on BBC 4.

I enjoyed watching this on BBC4 recently, and will definitely be watching tonight too. Top class TV.
Have you seen the ad on Youtube?

This is a great show. Just a pity I don’t have a TV.

I love Life on Mars and I half found myself going ‘mmmhhhh’ more times than I care to remember this evening.

And you get my vote too :)

  6. Stellanova Says:

I don’t have BBC4, otherwise I’d be watching part 2 right now! Sob.

Episode one was pretty good though. Could he really actually be a mad ’70s copper from Hyde, as that final phone call suggested? If he is, I didn’t see that coming…

Fence - “Twentina”, “Jermajesty” and “Eason Gleeson” are gonna take some beating.

Simon - what did you make of it?

Sharon - I posted that ad a couple of weeks ago when I got all excited about hearing Series 2 was just around the corner.

Phil - I hear you, I go through phases of being very good about TV and switching it off, but then have lapses and get addicted to utter crap.

Red Mum - yes, he’s a tasty chap, no doubt about it. The other half was grumbling as I was staring dreamily at John. Thanks for the vote. :)

Stellanova - Can you believe it? I fell asleep during the damn 2nd episode. That phone call was weird wasn’t it? But if he WAS a mad copper from the 70s, how would he know about Pulp, mobile phones etc? I’m stumped.

And when oh when is he going to make a move on Annie?

I grew up with Camberwick Green so loved the promo, even still have the album somewhere at home with the parents (along with Jim Reeves and some 40 shades of Green album which has a Beretta and a bandolier on the cover)

Only caught the latter part of the 1st episode but we can’t rule out body swapping. The Hyde copper could be in his body up the line.

  9. Sinead Says:

Camberwick Green was great, I loved Windy Miller. Some other ad on TV has been using it too recently but I can’t remember what it was for. T

Body-swapping eh? Hmmm, interesting. Maybe it’s just a coma and he’s imagining it all, but then how come he went back to such a specific time, especially one connected with his dad (and the day he left) and the girl in the red dress being attacked? He could also be a time-traveller?

  10. Dan Sullivan Says:

    He’s a Cylon!
