Irish Blog Awards shortlist… thanks!
Just a quick post to say thank you SO much to everyone who took the time to vote in this year’s Irish Blog Awards. I’m delighted to be in the running for Best Arts & Culture Blog and Best Music blog, alongside some great nominees, all of whom I read. The final shortlist (which will be voted on by a panel of judges) is over here:
Anyone who blogs will tell you it can be hard to keep the momentum going consistently over a long period of time and keep posting regularly, especially over the course of a year. I’ve certainly struggled with the idea that I could be writing instead of blogging, but I really enjoy blogging. Writing, and even journalism (when you work at home as a freelancer) are very solitary experiences but part of the appeal of blogging is that it’s so immediate, interactive and a great way to exchange opinions and ideas with others.
Thank you not just for the votes but to all the blogs out there who have kept me occupied and piqued my curiosity on an ongoing basis.
Special thanks must go to Damien Mulley for all his unpaid, voluntary hard work in putting this all together.
