Wow. What a fantastic lineup. A weekend in Mullinar it is then :)

Look good but patchy. But anyhows, never mind the folk - Cathal Coughlan is playing a solo gig in the Tinahely Arts Centre this Saturday and the Sugar Club on Sunday (with a full sextet for the Flannery’s Mounted Head song-cycle thingy).

Fiona, hope you’re well, good to see back over on Thinking Out Loud recently.

Ro, they’ll add more I’m sure, but at least it differentiates itself for all the other festivals who seem to be competing to put on the same bands. I didn’t know Tinahely AC did gigs? It’s a lovely spot, but I’ve only been to exhibitions there. As appealing as it is, I’ll be off watching Ireland V Wales in the Euro qualifiers in Croke Park.

This looks great to me, I wonder if its the kind of thing you can bring kids along to (pining back to pre child teenage days of Feile, but hoping my tent won’t get jumped on and my sleeping bag nicked at Belvedere!!!). Thanks for the link.

  6. Sinead Says:

Hi Rebecca, you can totally bring kids and the best bit is that under 12s are free!

The tent demolishing and sleeping bag nicking seems to be more suited to other festivals if last year’s accounts are anything to by. This seems to have a different, older target audience.

Heard it was great fun last year.

Steve Earle, the Waterboys and Christy Moore makes Saturday, July 28th the single best gig day in Ireland this year!!
