Techies on Wheels
My laptop is still in limbo until I get time to wipe it and see if it still works, but all the data was saved - thanks to these guys. Techies on Wheels come to your house, sort out your computer problem (Mac/PC/laptop, it doesn’t matter) and charge you a very reasonable price for doing it. Graham, the chap who visited me, couldn’t have been nicer and we whiled away the time chatting about music. He even had a look at another computer in the house with a problem, for no extra charge. Apart from the handyness of someone coming to where you are, TOW are happy to visit you after work or on Saturdays.
Would definitely recommend them.
Meanwhile if you sent me an email anytime prior to two weeks ago, it’s in my old Outlook Express and is R.I.P (which includes various Musical Rooms submissions and photos). If you sent one in the last two weeks, and haven’t heard from me, mail me again as the webmail is super clunky and has inexplicably lost some mails.

Agreed - Gmail is the bidness.
I’ve also used Graham at Techies On Wheels…I was extremely impressed not only by his ability to retrieve my entire iTunes collection (labour intensive isn’t the WORD), but also by his knowledge of shoegazing bands from the early ’90s.
