Women: Know Your Limits
Hilarious stuff from Harry Enfield’s Television Programme, partly inspired by:
a) today is International Women’s Day. Celebrate it.
b) the kind of spam mail that pops in Shane’s letterbox. Did you know that empowerment can be yours for an IWD discounted rate of €125?
c) many conversations about women, men, motherhood, mothers, feminism, blogging etc I had with the fabulous Medbh who I met up with during the week.
And there’s also a Feminist Walking Tour around Dublin today starting at 2.30pm. Hat tip: Suzy
Happy International Women’s Day.

I think it’s great that women are allowed have blogs.

If the woman in that sketch had earned a B.A.(pass) at UCD she’d cleverly have said: “No, I don’t think we should return to the gold standard. We should switch to the diamond standard because every philandering Tory Minister knows that Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.”

Hello Sinead - whooop to Twenty Major. How funny.
Just letting you know that the mp3 of the interview with Carly Sings is up on the indie hour blog.
I think it’s great that women are allowed to have blogs AND go around shamelessly plugging them on other women’s blogs.

It used to be called plogging (shameless plugging on blog), but Twenty spoiled it all…

That Harry Enfield sketch is one of my favourite things ever. I actually have a (Virago!) postcard sitting on the istting room mantlepiece that reads “Women! Know Your Limits!” And I do love fluffy kittens…

That is a riot, Sinead. Thanks for posting it.
I’m going to shave my beard right now.
It was a delight to have met you.
